Traditional Greek cuisine
Modern Greek cooking includes extensive use of olive oil, cereals, pasta, wine, meat, vegetables, legumes and seafood.
Also, other important food products are olives, tomatoes, cheese, aubergines, zucchini, onion, garlic, peppers, herbs, yogurt and lemon juice, while bread always has its place on the table. The main characteristics of traditional Greek desserts are nuts and honey, while various fruits are often used for the so-called spoon sweets, but also pasta can be met in some recipes.
